Amelia is a fully New Zealand trained Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand surgeon who works as a consultant Plastic Surgeon at Middlemore Hospital, specialising in Head and Neck, Hand, Skin and Melanoma surgery.
She completed her Plastic Surgery training in NZ, obtaining a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016. In 2017 she undertook an aesthetic/cosmetic fellowship at the New Zealand Institute of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery.
Following this she moved with her young family to Toronto for a year to compete a microsurgery fellowship, with a focus on Breast, Head and Neck and Sarcoma Reconstruction.
She returned to New Zealand in 2019 and began her post at Middlemore Hospital.
Amelia offers treatment in all areas of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is one of only a handful of female Plastic Surgeons in New Zealand and can therefore offer a unique perspective to both her consultations and surgery. She will be happy to give a honest and considered opinion on any aspect of reconstructive or aesthetic surgery. She is a caring surgeon, who is friendly and considerate of her patient’s needs.
Amelia has three young children who keep her on her toes and she enjoys the delights and challenges they bring to her life.
